Welcome to Pattaya, Thailand and The Roo Bar & Guesthouse.
Formerly
known as the Jan Bar, The Roo Bar has
been run by the same two Australians, Bob and 'Roundy',
(as pictured, left to right, above) for the past 14 years
and is located right in the heart of South Pattaya's famous
Walking Street, the orginal heart and soul of Pattaya and
where it all started.
Known
as The Jan Bar it was possibly the best known and most frequented
Australian Bar in all of the Kingdom. It is so popular that
it is hard sometimes to get a seat as many other vistors
to the Kingdom from all over the world seem to have this
thing about drinking and socialising with the laconical,
'piss taking' and convivial Australians who frequent the
place.
'Roundy',
is from West Aussie and has been in Pattaya for over 14 years.
He, along with his partner Bob, also from W.A. are keen golfers
and great sources of information for the novice visitor. The
Roo Bar is simply the best and most well known meeting place
for Ex Pats and travelling Aussies!

The Roo
Bar is a great meeting place. watering hole and eatery for
visiting and ex pat Australians. It hosts all of Australia's
sporting and cultural events such as ANZAC Day, Melbourne
Cup Day and Australia Day etc. Football games and finals series
(AFL & NRL) are recieved from Australia live via satellite,
along with other major Australian sporting events.
The Roo
Bar Website has an online Photo Gallery and Bulletin Board,
links are in the top left menu. The Photo Gallery has images
of the accomodation available and the Bulletin Board provides
a discussion area for all Roo Bar Patrons as well as an 'Instant
Messaging System' for those wishing to be registered users.
All these services are free for the use of our customers.
